The only thing that may not be totally obvious is the shift to the upper aperture for extreme range. But, since that is a feature used by probably no more than one in a thousand recreational shooters today, it shouldn't be a big deal.
No one should be surprised that with leaf down, and shooting in a hurry (as in surprised by hostiles) that the battle sight range of 275 yds will be the one presented. For that reason, no one should find that "it shoots high at 100 yds" should be the least bit surprised. If one has time to raise the leaf and adjust the sight, the settings (IF service equivalent ammo is being employed!) should be obvious.
