Thanks for the speedy and informative response Dick. I agree that the two Texas Ranger Carbines we refer to are marked in a different manner and therefore were not marked with the same group as the others or by the same person or persons. Also, I have some documentation from Native Americans that explains the meaning of the 5 point star and where and why it appears on these Carbines. I continue to research and document this subject and it's definitely pointing toward Native American origin so far. Sincerely, Michael H. Collins
