Amen to the part about fun!
Changing demographics are definitely causing lots of shakeups. In Africa, Chrissy and I work for a university established by & to some extent supported by the United Methodist Church. In the '90s the UMeths probably had their richest congregations ever, and we were buying some really big M.F. tractors (uh, if you know what I mean). Now my fellow religionists are getting old or dead, and our ag school is having troubles. But that's been fun too, and our wheat was FANTASTIC this year.
Back home in South Carolina, whenever I go to a gun show (which is pretty often), I am reminded of Chaos Theory. I mean, well, the $1000 mark has become something of a "strange attractor." Guns that probably ought to sell for $250 are moving towards the $1k mark, and guns that probably ought to sell for $2500 are also moving towards that level.
I just hope that the "bricks" of .22LR don't make it quite so high.
