Thanks Dick. The trigger plate fits perfectly. Aside from the ugly scoring around the barrel breech and a 4 or 5 inch longitudinal crack in the stock at the butt it cosmetically isn't too bad. I have no intention of firing it! The barrel is packed with what looks like paper. One other question (and thanks for your patience), the metal parts seem to be either painted or stained (?) black. Shouldn't they be bare metal, i.e. polished? Again, thanks, Ned
