Michael, I would think that Trooper Ryan's Sharp's was in 45-70, thus he should be able to use Gov. rounds, but that is just a guess. No info on the present whereabouts of the gun that I know of. Lieut. Wallace, I believe, had an Officers Model TD at the LBH, he was killed at Wounded Knee, probably by friendly fire. I would suspect the Lieut's Officers Model is in a private collection, or is in a collection and the owner has no idea of it's original ownership. I think this is the romance and excitement of collecting, the history of and the individual that owned the gun, (or may have). Far more exciting and rewarding than just doing it as a business to make money off of.
