Keogh, actually Gall's children and wife were killed in cold blood by Reno's scouts, that is why Gall had a "Bad Heart" that day and killed like a madman.

Reno's men were also lobbing shots into the village, and I am sure the bullets did not discriminate.

Custer himself was no killer of women and children. In his life he has only one documented Native kill, that came at the Washita.
