Re: 2-band M1866

I sold Frank (Barnyak) some 1866 parts about 40 years ago, but they didn't look like that!

I do not like the cartouche, or the comb profile. Would like to know if there ia a plugged bandspring prep.

Seems to have an 1868 rod?

Lockplate is from the 1861 Musket contract of Sarsen & Roberts.

Poulin (which I've been told is Julia's outfit for guns not deemed suitable for prime-time) needs to brush up on their proof-reading just a tiny bit.

Lunchbox gun? If so, a lovely example.
