With all due respect to the very valid advice given by Ernie regarding insurance, I urge you to NOT mess with insuring guns on traditional homeowner type policies, or even "fine arts" riders they sometimes offer for "antiques."
Go instead to one of the specialized firms that insure collectible items, and most cover everything from stamps and beanie babies to guns and bayonets. With them, you decide the value on each item, and unless it is over a minimum amount ($5K as I recall) you do not have to schedule it as an individual item, and only items above an even higher threshold have to have any sort of appraisal. Note that these policies only cover collector guns, not shooters or modern hunting guns, etc. They might require you have an alarm system and/or a safe.
Premiums are based on the values you declare, and rates seem to be much better than any sort of homeowner type policies, and most of the homeowner type companies really don't like guns or gun owners anyway.
CollectInsure (dot) com will get you to a firm I have been very pleased with and highly recommend.
Don't forget that NRA membership automatically includes a small free insurance coverage which you can increase for an additional premium, and while it is good for all types of guns, the specialized outfits are better for collector guns.
