Well - I'm not sure exactly what to say.

Sterling did not get up, thump his chest, and say "I personally discovered the site."

However, his demeanor during the context of the discussion and description of coming over a rise in the ground, and actually seeing the glint off of partly buried cases really stuck with me. If he didn't find it, he certainly must have been there very early on. Is there any possibility of more than one such site from the same period? Were there multiple action areas at the same overall site?

I do not know Mr. Popovich, and Sterling is gone - so - I guess we'll have to leave it at that.
