Re: Appraisal(s)

You (and others) are welcome to send me pictures, and I will give you my honest OPINION, based on 45 years of collecting trapdoors. I will be glad to provide you with a written appraisal, giving the good and the bad. These arms do not come up very often, so it is not easy to find current comparables. I am no longer buying guns, so no appraisal should ever be considered an offer to purchase at price estimated. Naturally, said appraisal would be limited to only what I can discern from the material I am furnished.

While I suppose I may reasonably be considered to be an "expert in the field", I have NO legal standing as a certified/bonded/licensed/whatever "appraisor" and make NO such representation. I simply try and help others in the same spirit that I was helped many years ago.

At this time, I do not charge for this service - the only time I have ever accepted a fee was when I helped a man obtain a small-claims court victory against a certain dealer in Nevada, over a faked "Custer period" carbine. It may be that at some time in the future I might offer certain services for a fee, but that would not apply now. I am not presently prepared to receive arms for a hands-on review.
