Thanks for the replies. The generic buttplattButtplate that was on the rifle (plastic) cracked and fell off at some point last year. The stock is flat w/o any curve, would it be worth putting something on this to reinforce the stock, as it has small crack in it? Or do I just use some glue and a needle and inject the crack where the glue is not visible? The rifle has always shot well and has taken many a deer, even with its buffalo head nickel front sight.
