No new rifles were assembled at Benicia, and, so far as I know, none were converted in the usual sense of the word as would apply to, for example, upgrading an 1892 Krag to 1896 specs.

But, they definitely did clean, repair, and overhaul guns. Their mark is a large block BA + initials, in a good-sized rectangle. BA-WJ is probably the most common, though others have been observed.
