Recent appraisal on a Model 1873 Carbine

Posted by Jerry Ipsen on Sunday, 2 November 2014, at 11:25 p.m.

A couple of weeks ago an appraisal was completed on my carbine sn# 125579 which came back with an "80% valuation" with a value set at $3,250. In your eyes, does this amount seem correct?

What wasn't included in the appraisal is an original set of cleaning rods kept in the butt end of the stock and the milled front sight cover purchased from Al.

Tom Trevor is well acquainted with my carbine and knows how nice it looks. Their is no cartouche but the stock does have the stamped "x" Inspector's mark on what appears to be a field replacement stock. Your ideas are welcomed. Thanks.
