Re: 50/70 in 45-70 stock?

If the .50-70 action is a Model 1870, which has the same length as the later arms, it will drop right in. In fact it will be a little loose along the sides of the receiver - but this can easily be fixed with Micro-Bed or the equivalent. If the action is the more common 1868, you will have to lengthen the inletiing a bit at the front corners to accommodate the extra length. You have the small gaps at the side of the receiver here as well. Stock inletting was widened in 1878 at 96300.
