The dated lockplate is pretty unusual at that time, but they do occur. The flush joint, however, is not correct - at that range there should be a step - it is the early narrow guns that are flush. If a later action has been crowded into an earlier stock, that might explain the lockplate as well. Is cartouche oval or square with clipped corners? Is the receiver inletting perfect or are there signs of extra scraping?
