Re: Indian 45-70 Carbine

In my opinion it is a total assembly from miscellaneous parts of mixed vintage. The stock contours look wrong, although the inletting other than for the barrel channel, looks pretty good.

If not cobbled together in house by Fox, then possibly by Stembridge or one of the other prop houses, or one of the early surplus dealers.

Nice movie gun, or wallhanger, but nothing at all for a collector.
