Re: Indian 45-70 Carbine

Posted by Dick Hosmer on Wednesday, 15 October 2014, at 7:45 p.m., in response to Indian 45-70 Carbine, posted by Rich Allen on Wednesday, 15 October 2014, at 7:27 p.m.

It is a mix of parts, apparently the action from a late rod-bayonet rifle, with a genuine carbine stock which has been partially re-profiled, and who knows about the barrel. Front sight is likely Fox, as would likely be the stock decorations. A fun piece, for what it is, but collector appeal would probably be quite low.
