Jon

Do not be concerned with the later firing pins not having a spring. Early Blocks with the spring were prone to rusted springs and stuck pins if they were stored with the hammer closed on the pin. As long as the pin is clean and free of rust there is no danger of the TD firing on closing the Block. Well oiled pins are the remedy.

The correct Block for your serial number will not have a spring. If you are looking at low arch blocks, try to find one with the alloy pin. Your high arch Block will sell easily on Gunbroker.com.
