I've looked it over carefully. My observations indicate some consistency issues in the finish and on some parts. The front sight looks like it could be a replacement. The serialized frame and lug don't have the same wear as the side lock assembly,hammer, and trapdoor. The star almost looks like it could be a recent addition to me for some reason. Different screws. Fire blue or heat on the frame by the barrel. Barrel band looks like a possible mismatch too. Am I out in left field on this one? Also, the chip in the wood by the left side of the frame looks recent too. Fresh. Additional opinions would be appreciated. Thanks again. Sincerely, Michael H. Collins
