You are my best salesman.

The Scope Setup I sell on takes all the guess work out of the 100 yard problem. Works for us old guys!!

As to front sight blades, I would start at .595 inches off the top of the barrel and file the blade down as Dick suggests.

The fact that NO two TD's will zero at exactly the same point makes it hard to assume a perfect blade height, I have found that the Globe sight I make gets you there in the ball park with the Buffington sight at "battle".

Another thing I have been playing with is the Remington factory rear sight for the early models. They will only mount with one screw and need some fine tuning of the screw hole, but I have found that they give excellent results on the range. The sight base concave fits the TD perfectly. The Remington sight sets higher than Buffington & works great with the Globe sight. You get windage & elevation setting that are easy to change & will not move around like the Buffington.
