Re: front sight pin

It would be nice to be able to post a "standard" suggested increase, but when you consider the number of sight models involved, individual loads used, and ranges fired at, such would be absolutely impossible.

Not being a hunter - and not shooting much either these days - I still believe that the stacked target approach has a lot going for it, at least for non-match plinking,

If you must modify your rifle - rather than knocking the pin in and out numerous times trying different blades, I'd suggest starting with one you know is too high and filing it to suit, stopping when you are happy.

Even better, especially for getting the last bit of accuracy down when load testing, to take your eyesight out of the equation, rig a pistol scope - Ernie can help greatly in that area. Of course you can't use it in a match, but at least when you get a flyer, you'll know where to place the blame! :-)
