Dick or John,

Do we have a clear assumed number of carbines recovered at the LBH site and recovered from the hostiles after the conflict & in following years? Within 50 units say.

Has a tally be given with any credibility or are we totally in the dark?

I know there has to be several hundred, if not a thousand "Custer" Carbines out there more than was actually issued to the 7th Cav. A "new" one pops up quite regularly on GunBroker.com.

Of the LBH Carbines recovered, is there a figure for "rebuilds" back to Carbines or Rifles. Are these serial numbers known?
