Re: carbine stock on ebay

Posted by Dick Hosmer on Friday, 22 August 2014, at 4:29 p.m., in response to carbine stock on ebay, posted by Paul Eshleman on Friday, 22 August 2014, at 3:15 p.m.

IF we are talking about the same stock, how do you rationalize the cleanout hole and the patched forend, let alone all the minor nuance issues?

Unfortunately your friend apparently ignored your excellent advice.

The stock is a fake, worth maybe $100 to someone who is desperate to house a barreled action, and your friend would be wise to return it to the lying seller, immediately. He has a legitimate case for fraud because the seller GROSSLY and directly mis-described the item.

But, time is not on your side - the more he hems and haws and wishes it was what he wanted it to be, the harder it will be to return.

Just my .02.
