I recently slugged the bore of my '88 and was surprised to find the groove diameter to be .4574. I was expecting it to be in the .460 range so often mentioned. I had always gone by Wolf's "rules," using .459 bullets with a tight crimp. I've read a number of opinions that a tight crimp is not conducive to good accuracy and was necessary in th TD only because it helped with bump up in an oversize groove barrel. Given the slight undersize in mine, might easing up on the crimp improve accuracy?
