I would like to try the 4895 some time. It appears to be a good fit for the TD. I would probably load the 330 grain bullets at 47-48 grains of powder. Hodgdon book states that you can load to 50 grains with a 300 gr. bullet at 20,900 cup. This would be a good load for deer season. I have a Custom TD rifle I built that I want to go hunting with. I'm sure this load would knock down Bamby in Missouri.
I am lucky enough to live within a short drive from Hodgdon's store/range.
When you tested the load did you have the case crimped over the bullet or was it loose fit. I crimp all my loads. All except jacketed rounds.
