Got lucky on Gunbroker today

Posted by Dick Hosmer on Monday, 4 August 2014, at 11:28 p.m.

Something (a little voice inside my head?) told me, a couple of days ago, that I should go through the trapdoor listings on Gunbroker - which I try and do about once a month anyhow. Lo and behold, there was an 1868-dated Model 1868 Rifle, one of about 100, which I was able to acquire for what I felt was a very reasonable price for such a great rarity. For those of you who have the Newsletter, the story of such a piece (#63) begins on page 337. Oddly enough, the one I found is #62!

Am planning to do a writeup for the "Trapdoor News" page, after I receive it, assuming everything passes muster. Seller is making me do the FFL thing - most annoying.
