Re: Stolen from Lubin Mfg

The Lubin Manufacturing company was an early film company with studios in Philadelphia and at Betzwood in the Phil. suburbs. They made a number of large scale Civil War theme films with battle scenes. The hundreds of extras stole so many of the props--guns, canteens, swords, etc., that the company owner, Siegmund Lubin, ordered everything stamped with the words "Stolen from the Lubin Mfg Co."

I would be very interested in seeing a photo of this rifle, as I've written a book about Lubin and am making a movie about him.
