Thanks for pointing out my misquote. I didn't realize I had mixed up the Forts until tonight. Sorry. Also, I didn't realize that the work on these butts was period and done at Fort Lincoln. I saw one of these carbines recently and could have purchased it cheap but passed because I thought that the Winchester Butt plate looked hookie. I just returned from the bathroom where I stood in front of the mirror and said stupid 500 times.Sincerely, Michael H. Collins
