As a follow-up to this line of thought, I have just spent a very frustrating hour with the NRA National Firearms Museum website, looking at various arms of interest to me, mostly the Winchester-Hotchkiss and Chaffee-Reece.
What a MESS!! I was actually afraid to look at the trapdoors, for fear of having a stroke.
I would have SO liked to have been pleased with the efforts of an organization to which I am proud to belong. As it was, I am greatly disappointed. I've not been there in person, for a great many years, and never since the move out of DC.
To cap it all off, my repeated efforts to use their FUBAR "contact us" feature ran on the rocks. After entering my name in the requisite box, a red note immediately appeared to the right of the box: "Please enter alphabets". WTF does THAT mean? Of course, on any such form, if you awaken such a sleeping red note, you are not going ANYWHERE with transmission.
Yes, I AM irritated/frustrated - guess I will have to go the snail-mail route.
