Well, there is an apparent major mismatch, as, while the "Model 1884" and "SWP/1889" agree perfectly, the serial is about 300,000 off! Are you sure that is not 485640? That would make all parts of the same era.

When one finds a "new" appearing trapdoor, it almost always seems to be dated 1889. My theory on this is that they produced arms ahead of need, and so, when the rod-bayonet rifle was adopted in 1888, the arms which had accumulated in ready storage - stayed in storage, until disposed of as surplus in the early to mid-20th century. I have a rifle fairly close to yours which also seems brand new - I was told that it came from a crate opened in the 1950s.
