Well curiosty got the best of me and I sacrificed a BH round to check the loading. It is indeed smokeless.....25.0 g of a short grained extruded powder I believe to be IMR 4198 (or similar) with no filler. Checking the Hodgen loading site, 27 gr of 4198 is the closest listing to the 1250 MV. It's also the lightest load of any powder in the table. I also pulled down a turn of the century UMC .45-55-405.....54.5 gr of loose (no caking) BP that fills about 3/4 of the case. I'm REALLY tempted to fire a couple of these, I have about 50 loose and 2 unopened boxes.
