Glad you found it interesting, Dick. Like you said, it's just one of those 'questions'. And yes, I was specifically trying to avoid the use of the rifle as a limited standard in World War 1 & 2.

Barring an answer on that question, do you know when the last Trapdoor was 'officially' withdrawn from National Guard service as an issue rifle?
