,50-70`s on the battlefield....

Posted by Paul Eshleman on Sunday, 9 February 2014, at 6:53 p.m.

We know there were a few 50-70`s at the BoLBH. Custer carried one and his brothers and some of his officers had them. After Custer and his men were killed the Indians took there guns and used them at the Reno/Benteen Battlefield. There were .50-70 cartridges found at Indian positions at the Reno/Benteen battle. Are there any .50-70`s in collections that are documented to the battle? The focus is on the Trapdoor .45-70s and the .50-70`s don`t get mentioned. Paul
