The two cartouch Indicates that the rifle was repaired at SA and they re-stamped it. I am not sure but if it was refurbished at SA in 1882 I would think it should still have the smooth trigger I know they didint use the serrated trigger until march 1883. Also since it had a rifle rear sight may tell you that it was a rebuild but not from the Springfield armory, Possible that it was a cut down rifle.
