Also . . . .

Be VERY careful if you disassemble your "carbine".

Chipping of wood around the lock-plate, upper tang, and trigger plate mortice is a VERY REAL possibility!!!

In order to remove these parts, a good soaking in mineral oil, or turpentine, around the edges of these parts, is required to "soften" the wood a mite!

Actually . . . most here would say DON'T disassemble unless ABSOLUTELY necessary . . . . and I concur! --Jim
