The OMR had a single set-trigger, if your dad's had a DST set-up, it was modified. Up to five or more are usually for sale all the time, at the larger dealers and auction houses - problem isn't finding one, but rather paying for it - expect to spend $30,000, give or take, for a really nice one. There is one on Gunbroker right now for $10,000. I believe it is "real" but it's been played with in a manner which apparently does not appeal to most prospective buyers.

It is MOST impolite of me to ask, but I cannot help it - how on earth did it ever slip away?

Teaching, other than replying to specific questions is beyond the scope of this medium. I'd suggest you obtain a copy of Al Frasca's book (see home page) or Joe Poyer's book, from North Cape Publications.
