W.R. Easy answer SCREWDRIVER. There were NO carbines made in 1884 look closer and you will find its a cut off rifle stock. Or if a carbine stock the cartouche is fake.Look along side the reciever where it meets the wood pre 77 recievers were narrower than a reciever made in 1884 there should bo No gap in there if the stock is correct. What is the reciever serial number?
