We are talking about the same arms, but we may have data from different sources. My information comes from the “Summary Statement of Ordnance and Ordnance Stores on hand in the Cavalry Regiments in the Service of the United States…”, which was simplified and retitled from 1st. Quarter 1872 “Summary of Ordnance Stores in the hands of Troops in the service of the United States…” and is under the heading "Class 6, Small Arms". Some of the same data was published in Ordnance Memoranda No 15 and may well be recorded in other places too.
