1873 Carbine serial number 17093 is the ONLY carbine in the 17,000 range listed in SRS associated with the 3rd cavalry, with a date listed of July 12, 1879.

I don't know why people play the paranoid games hiding serial numbers, but it usually inspires me to eloquent displays of profanity gained from years of associating with sailors. I'm too tired to get started, so will stop this time.

Lots of other VERY interesting histories noted for many other nearby numbers!
