Well, of the 250+ carbines there (in Army hands) only about a dozen have been forensically anointed, so there IS still room for hope and dreams. Remember that is nearly impossible to prove a negative. If you a rough, even very rough, 100% straight carbine, below 44000 (preferably in the 16/17K or 21/22K ranges) with NO issues and no apologies, you have a very valuable gun, logical or not. Minty "closet queens" need not apply for this dance.
