Like John, I have more 1903s than I need and fewer than I want. One of mine is a 1918 product documented to the North China Marines (and possibly of WWI Marine issue as well). The other is an NRA sporter; unfortunately it has a recoil pad on the stock, and the barrel is threaded, apparently for a silencer. If any of y'all noble gentlemen have a guess as to the purpose, I'd appreciate the word.

Oh, I also have a really junked up Krag documented to the 20th Kansas as well as a trapdoor issued to the same regiment. I like those documented firearms even if they have been Bubba-ed beyond collectability.

Thank you all again for help, entertainment, and education.
