Dick, what I meant to say was that telling someone that certain numbers near the requested weapon were found in regiment X, raises hope that that particular weapon could have been in that unit. Board regulars understand that no hit means no hit. Numbers within a known sequence of carbines are important but I am concerned about: "Gee, if #12345 and #12359 were in the 130th Tricycle Regiment, then my #12348 probably was, too".
