You need to get O.M.22. I believe S&S Firearms has it for sale. I used it and rearranged the information in my book on Springfield to follow thorough and list the names of all the workers in all the shops. Also, the tables indicate who made and repaired guns and which shops they worked. The inspectors in each shop are listed to help identify the initials found on the stock. I think I have several copies left, my book is about 150 pages and some parts may be a little hard to follow. In Ordnance Memoranda 22 Benton explained the production by what steps each part experienced. So, the book jumps back and forth from shop to shop rather than focusing on what each shop did. You soon realize there were no blue prints, only go and no-go guages for quality control. I also have Benton's hand written O.M.22 which was done right about the transition in M78 sights and shows sight changed that are not in the published O.M.22.
