Dick or Al,

Any idea as to "lag time" from start of stock manufacturing, to rifle/carbine assembly. Did the boys get a vacation to wait for stocks to be complete at Model change or were some employees assigned new model stock duty while the prior model was still in manufacture???

It would be very interesting to know the process. Did I miss this info in Al's books?

Oh, to have been there from 1866 til 1894.
