Hi Terry, Thanks for your comparisons of the two calibers. It was interesting to hear that your .50-70 outshot the .45. But it is not really surprising. I have a real nice '84 that I load Arsenal spec. ammunition for, and fire at original style (Blunt's)targets. These are just fun rifles to shoot, no matter what caliber.
