Re: M77/84 question

Al, I very much appreciate the additional info. I know pieces and parts can be added/subtracted/changed over time, and value and desireability doesn't neccesarily totally depend on originality. Modifications are part of its history.

I'm so curious because my 1873 starred carbine has a M1884 block. While not 'original' it is, like the 77/84, an acceptable modification of a really nice piece, and is substantially different from what we'd call a 'parts' gun.

Is there any way to show the cleaning rod? I (maybe others) would like to see how it differs from a more usual one. Thanks, lee
