Dick, the idea of using unfinished M70 blocks is interesting. I found nothing in the archives on it, but that does not mean it was not done.

I labeled the differences in the sides of the blocks. Also, the variation in the side cut at the top of the firing pin housing is something like that seen between the very early M66 blocks and the later versions.
