Thanks, Dick. That being the case, I went back and re-studied (make that "re-re-re-studied) those two views, and I am not at all clear as to just what you and Al were pointing out. At first I thought it was the vertical surface along the right-hand edge of the Block which looked as thought it was in the as-forged condition, versus an as-machined surface, but still with the same approximate contour. But then in re-examining the two profiles I thought that perhaps it had to do with the contour of the comb over the Firing Pin. I guess that I am still missing Al's point [I guess that is why I am still The Grasshoppuh and you are the "Master Po" :>)]
