Model 1873 Carbine at Julia's Auction

Posted by Bob Meyer on Friday, 5 October 2012, at 10:01 a.m.

Did anyone catch the sale of the Custer SN Range M1873 Carbine with the 5-pointed star in the wood at Julia's Auction on this past Monday/Tuesday????

WOW...$33,350.00 with the BP...time for me to call Jim up and get me some cash dollars!!!

I know there are those that question the star and how it got there, but I have been keeping track of the few that have sold, and up to now, they appear to bring a premium, with carbines going for around $12K...but $33K!!! I think somebody came across a document that shows SN's and is on a buying spree!

You have one as well Dick...your thoughts?
