Re: Article on relining a Trapdoor barrel

Hello, Wayne, and you're very, VERY welcome indeed. It's great to have you back, regardless of what kind of firepower you're toting!

And thank you (and John) for the additional insight on liner-versus-total replacement barrel. I can certainly say that I have been very pleased with my Bobby Hoyt re-lined M1884 Carbine and have put quite a few rounds down the liner (including one of my hand-loaded .45-70-500 Rifle rounds which "sneaked into" my ammo box when I wasn't looking - - boy, did THAT one hurt!). As you guys have attested, Bob has certainly been using his considerable skills and knowledge for some 30 years now, many of them patrons right here of Al Frasca's WebSite. I'll not get into any of the mud-slinging prompted by the idiots who masterminded the "FAST AND FURIOUS" debacle who wouldn't know how to load a Trapdoor without blowing their own heads off...

Aanyhow, thanks for another very interesting thread, and please don't stay away so long next time. Good hearing from you.

PETE
